The Woman Behind the House
I have always believed fashion could be more than something we wear.
Before I understood garment construction, fit or production, I understood the feeling of clothes. I loved the woman who dressed with imagination—the woman who mixed something elegant with something unexpected, who collected beautiful things, who wasn't afraid of color, texture, embroidery or a little drama.
That love eventually led me to study fashion design and build a career in the industry, where I learned the technical side of making beautiful clothes: how a garment is engineered, how it should fit the body, and how an idea becomes something a woman can actually live in.
But KatLiMartElle comes from something deeper.
Where I Come From

Life Changed the Way I Design the House
Over the years, I became more than a designer. I became a wife, a mother, and a woman with a much greater understanding of how quickly life moves.
I began thinking differently about the things we keep.
The dress from an unforgettable evening. The photograph from a wedding. The piece a daughter discovers years later in her mother's closet. The objects, traditions and stories that somehow become part of a family's history.
That idea of legacy sits quietly at the heart of KatLiMartElle.
I don't want to make clothing simply because something is fashionable right now. I want to create pieces connected to a life being lived.
Because eventually, what we wear becomes part of the photographs.
And the photographs become part of the story.
Fashion Is Still Art to Me
Somewhere between design school and building a career in fashion, practicality became a much bigger part of my world.
KatLiMartElle is also my return to the reason I became a designer in the first place.
I love beautiful construction, but I also love play. Unexpected embroidery. Layers. Rich texture. Art and cultural references. A beautiful evening dress beside something slightly irreverent. Pieces that make you look twice.
I want the women I dress to feel that same freedom.
Elegant doesn't have to mean predictable.
Luxury doesn't have to mean impersonal.
And growing into yourself doesn't require becoming less interesting.
What I Believe
We believe the wellbeing of women and the health of babies matter to the strength of families and the future of generations. As KLME grows, we are committed to using the House, its relationships, and its influence to contribute to that wellbeing. We create beauty to celebrate her life, and build influence to help make life better for women and the next generation.
Why KatLiMartElle
KatLiMartElle is being built as a house for women with somewhere to go and something to say when they arrive.
Women building careers, raising families, attending weddings, celebrating milestones, traveling, hosting, creating traditions and becoming increasingly themselves.
The Atelier begins with conversation.
Where are you going?
What are we celebrating?
How do you want to feel when you walk into the room?
From there, we create something personal—considering the woman, the occasion, the body, the environment and the memory that may eventually be attached to it.
Because I am not interested only in making beautiful clothes.
I am interested in making beautiful things for a beautiful life.
